ESMAP webinar: Accelerating the Productive Use of Electricity

ESMAP will organise a webinar where panelists will discuss the interconnection between energy and agri-food systems, focusing on how technology developments in renewable energy, energy efficiency, digitalization, and fintech solutions open new opportunities for more resilient productive use interventions.

ESMAP’s new publication highlights the importance of promoting the use of energy for income generation and enhanced productivity to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises to accelerate development after communities gain access to electricity. It recommends an ecosystem approach to comprehensively stimulate productive use of electricity including five building blocks: planning, policy and regulations, technology and innovation, access to finance, and business development support.
